Big Al: Afternoons

Big Al, KSFM's afternoon DJ, is a Chicago native and Bay Area transplant. Big Al started in the research department in 1997, then moved to the on-air position of hosting the late night show, and later the mid-day slot, taking both to #1 in the market. He's now moved into the afternoon slot and is taking it to new heights.

Humorous, charming and full of wit, Big Al possesses an unadulterated love of music through which he is able to connect to his audience. It is because of this connection that people were not satisfied with only hearing him, they wanted to see him. Big Al has hosted/MC'd for a wide variety of events. With artist line-ups including the likes of Eminem, Ludacris, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Xzibit , Bow-Wow, AKON, Talib Kweli, Missy Elliot, Roger & ZAPP, Brian McKnight, Ginuwine, K-Ci & Jo-Jo, Destiny’s Child, Jaheim, Alicia Keys, B2K and many more; no matter the genre, be it mainstream, underground hip-hop or R&B, the big guy is in demand.
